In view of the recent coronavirus outbreak in Macao, the University has decided to run all classes via online during the first four weeks of 18 August to 17 September 2022.

ICTO offers some FAQs for both students and course instructors to operate UMMoodle and Zoom easier.

For students:

  • If this is your first time using Zoom for online classes at UM, please follow the steps in this link to complete your registration and sign in.
  • Pre-testing your equipment. Please make sure that your hardware devices (e.g. speakers, microphones, etc.) can be used for Zoom online class. You may join a test Zoom meeting (here).
  • Pre-testing network connection. Please make sure that you have reliable Internet connection. If possible, the wired connection is recommended as it is more stable.
  • Log in to UMMoodle with your UMPASS account.
  • To join a Zoom online class, you need to first enter the course through the course dashboard on UMMoodle.
  • Scroll through the course sections to find the correct Zoom online class to join.
