The network refreshment project is completed successfully as planned.
During the period from June 17 to July 22, 258 switches were successfully installed. A total of 26 working days were spent on installing the switches. With a detailed work plan pre-defined, each user can perceive up to twice the network outage time, approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
After the upgrade, each network port is increased from 100Mbps to 1Gbps (the theoretical value is 10 times, depending on the number of users at the time and other network environment factors). The network system now also has higher stability because the switch is new and the network topology is simplified. The simplified network topology simplifies the maintenance works thus speeds up troubleshooting hereafter. Newly installed switches support larger current outputs to support new wireless network access points that require more current.
