Our Virtual desktop Service (VDS) is a virtualization technology that hosts a desktop operating system (Microsoft Windows) on a centralized server in a data center. Users only need to use their own device such as PC, laptop or even a mobile device to connect the virtual desktop. It provides second desktop computing environment for user to run the application without any change on their own computers.

With the launch of this service, an administrative staff can run Lotus Notes and issue e-bulletin when he/she is out of office.  An Academic staff can apply for a virtual desktop to run his/her applications remotely, the desktop state can be kept even the network disconnected. It is secure as data lives in data center, and brings benefits to handling administrative task and academic research during out of campus.
