Student view of the Gradebook

By default, the course total is hidden to students if the Gradebook contains a grade item that is hidden.

You can first determine which grade item(s) is hidden and set them to visible, or you can adjust the Gradebook settings to show category totals despite containing hidden grade items. This article will introduce the latter approach.

Step-by-step tutorial

  2. Click on “Course grade settings”.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom section, change the option “Hide totals if they contain hidden items” to “Show totals excluding hidden items”.https://faq.icto.um.edu.mo/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/QIJVffGtIk.png
  4. Click “Save changes”.
  5. Now students can see the course total, excluding hidden grade items.
