The university has always been aiming to build a smart campus. Knowing that advanced network infrastructure is very important to provide a supportive and engaging experience for a smart campus, ICTO designed and established a smart campus network named Facility Management Network to connect various smart Facility Management systems on campus.

Together with this campus, the Facility Management core network switch had been used for more than 8 years and had reached the end of its life cycle. ICTO initiated its replacement in 2021. To ensure a smooth replacement and minimize the impact on campus service to users, ICTO communicated and collaborated with relevant system administrators in advance. The replacement work was finally performed on two weekends in April.
