ICTO replaced the UPS for the primary data center with the new modular UPS this summer, while the old UPS has been in use for nearly 10 years. New UPS uses lithium iron phosphate batteries, which provide 120 minutes of backup power for the data center due to their excellent safety, long lifespan and small footprint.
Compared to the traditional UPS, the modular UPS is based on an online modular design and offers the following advantages:
1) All modules can be hot-swapped without shutting down the UPS. This feature ensures maximum availability and easy maintenance;
2) The power module allows for expansion as needed and reduces initial costs;
3) It provides N+X redundancy, which increases the overall fault-tolerant backup capability.
