ICTO Promotional Booth & IT Security Folder Distribution

To make students get familiar with the facilities and services provided by ICTO, promotional booths are set up at Student Activity Centre, Learning Commons Service Counter, Residential Colleges and Postgraduate House areas during Aug to Sept 2023.

In addition, ICTO prepared three folders for UM members to raise awareness about information security awareness.

Folders were distributed to staff members via department liaisons.  While folders for newly enrolled undergraduate and postgraduate students were distributed via Registry and Graduate School.

Current students can obtain either edition at the following locations starting from 17 August 2023. It will be first come, first served basis while stocks last.

The 3rd Academic IT Support Advisory Group (AITSAG) Meeting for Academic Year 2022/2023

The meeting of the Academic IT Support Advisory Group (AITSAG) was held on 6 July 2023.

In the meeting, ICTO’s representatives shared the following topics and responded to the enquiries from AITSAG members:

The 3rd Student User Focus Group (SUFG) Meeting for Academic Year 2022/2023

To enhance the communication between ICTO and student representatives, the SUFG meeting was held on 19 April 2023.

In the meetings, ICTO’s representatives shared the following information with students:

  • The 25th Issue of “ICTO Newsletter” was launched
  • Campus Network Updates
  • Site Visit to RCs, UMSU, UMPA
  • 2022/2023 ICTO User Satisfaction Survey
  • Information Security Updates

Student representatives provided feedback on using wireless service. ICTO staff provided instant responses and followed up on the mentioned issues.
