ICTO organised the following events and meetings from March to August 2025.
Event Updates
To introduce IT facilities & services and assist students to set up Two-Factor Authentication service & UM App, promotional booths are set up at the Student Activity Centre, Learning Commons Service Counter at the beginning of the New Academic Year.
To introduce and demonstrate the features of IT services provided by ICTO, a series of briefing sessions were arranged for staff members:
- Briefing on the Update of the GenAI Service
- Briefing on the Voov/ Tencent meeting
- Briefing on Windows 11
- Training on Event Registration System (EVM) and Event Management System (EMS)

Meeting Updates
The regular meeting with IT support staff from various academic units and the ICTO, AITSAG meeting was held on 20 May 2025.
ICTO’s representatives shared the following topics and responded to enquiries from AITSAG members.
- The wireless network upgrade in the Residential Colleges (RC) and the Postgraduate House (PGH) were completed
- ICTO Annual Drill on Data Center UPS System
- IT Corner is almost completed
- Generative AI (GenAI) service
- E-Learning Platform Upgrade
- Lotus Notes client and Windows 11 upgrade
- University of Macau joined the China Education and Research Network Federation Authentication and Resource Sharing Infrastructure (CARSI)
- Collect feedback for Security Technical Training 2025
- Invitation to IBM workshop
