To enhance the signal coverage for outdoor areas, ICTO has installed 6 additional Outdoor Wireless Access Points on Campus in May, 2017.
6 Outdoor Access Points are installed at the following locations:
- Campus bus stops at E4, S3 and N6
- Playgrounds of residential colleges near W14 and W23
- Public lounge areas of staff quarter near S33 and S34

Currently, the new Outdoor Access Points support the latest WLAN standard, 802.11ac, which provides a faster and more stable wireless signal for modern portable devices.
